A steady hand. An open door.

Local government should feel local.

Decisions made carefully. Dollars treated with respect. Residents heard before the path is set.

Deena’s approach is practical: listen closely, ask the hard questions, work across differences, and keep the focus on what serves Ladysmith best.

A record we can build on

Service you can see.

The work ahead

Five commitments.
One clear standard.

Decisions based on evidence, good process, and long-term value—not noise or short-term pressure. Deena will keep Council focused on achievable priorities and reliable municipal services.

Every public dollar deserves scrutiny. That means prioritizing essential infrastructure, seeking outside funding, testing assumptions, and communicating the full cost before major commitments are made.

Engagement should happen while choices are still open. Deena is committed to accessible, meaningful public conversations—and to showing residents how their input shaped the result.

Clear information builds trust. Residents should be able to understand what is being decided, why it matters, what it costs, and how to take part.

The mayor’s office belongs to the community. Deena will keep showing up, working with people across Ladysmith, and putting the town’s well-being ahead of politics.

My only focus is the well-being of Ladysmith, and I commit to being a voice for the community.

— Deena Beeston, 2025

Rooted here

Ladysmith shaped Deena.

Deena’s family came to Ladysmith in 1961. This is where she grew up—and where she returned in 2007 to stay.

Her experience spans business ownership and management, health care, social services, and tourism. She has served on boards and committees, volunteered with local organizations, and learned that sound leadership starts with collaboration and ends with results.

In 2025, Ladysmith voters chose Deena from a field of five to serve as the town’s 23rd mayor and only the second woman to hold the office. She is asking for the opportunity to keep serving.
